TORONTO, ON (September 19, 2024) – The 2025 Toyota Sequoia takes you anywhere in style and comfort. This full-featured, eight-seat full-size SUV is more ready than ever to accompany Canadians on all of life’s paths, no matter the obstacles or conditions. New this year, Toyota is enhancing the top-of-the-line Capstone trim with available towing mirrors, and enhancing the comfort of the Platinum and Capstone trims with the addition of massaging front seats.

“For Canadians who are ready to dream big, the 2025 Toyota Sequoia combines breathtaking performance, premium comfort and impressive technologies in a rugged and attractive SUV,” said Cyril Dimitris, Vice President, Toyota Canada Inc. “Our most capable Sequoia yet gives you spacious seating for up to eight adults, a commanding view of the road or trail, and the ability to tow a trailer with ease and confidence – not to mention the high torque and impressive efficiency of Toyota’s i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain.”

Every 2025 Sequoia delivers big performance for big adventures with Toyota’s powerful and proven hybrid technology. Available exclusively in electrified powertrain, Sequoia is built around Toyota’s i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain, which includes a twin-turbo V6 engine and high-torque electric motors. Working in harmony with a 10-speed automatic transmission, they deliver 427 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque, with a towing capacity of 9,000 pounds. All Sequoias feature an on-demand four-wheel drive system that delivers power to each wheel when needed, while optimizing fuel efficiency when the extra traction isn’t needed.

The Sequoia is built on the TNGA-F platform, a modern body-on-frame chassis design with a fully boxed ladder frame. Paired with an independent front suspension and multi-link rear suspension, and available suspension upgrades specifically designed for frequent towing, this go-anywhere full-size SUV combines ruggedness with superior ride and handling.

Sequoia’s commanding power is immediately evident in its chiseled, muscular silhouette. Headlights, grille, wheels and other features give each trim level a distinct appearance. Sequoia is available in nine eye-catching colors, including the new TRD Pro exclusive, Mud Bath.

Inside, the Sequoia features three rows of seating. Eight-passenger versions feature a second-row bench seat, while seven-passenger versions feature two captain’s chairs instead. Heated front seats and three-zone automatic climate control are standard, while Platinum and Capstone trims introduce massaging front seats for the 2025 model year.

A touchscreen and voice command system provide easy access to the Toyota multimedia system, which offers wireless compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, USB-A and USB-C input and charging ports, Bluetooth connectivity, Sirius XM Satellite Radio, as well as Remote Connect, Safety Connect, Service Connect and Drive Connect.

Every Sequoia also comes equipped with an impressive array of active and passive safety features, starting with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, a suite of active safety technologies and capabilities that enhances driver awareness and supports decision-making behind the wheel to help reduce the risk of accidents. Other standard safety features include Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Rear Cross Traffic Detection with Braking, Intuitive Park Assist with Automatic Braking, Trailer Sway Warning, Auto-Localizing Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Trailer Brake Controller, Hill Start Assist and an anti-theft alarm system.
